Other Law Firms

Lovingood McGuffey, P.C. is not a general practice law firm. We limit our practice to Elder Law, tax planning, special needs law, asset protection planning and corporate law. Case we would consider handling are described on our Practice Areas page. With this in mind, there may be certain matters we do not handle. Also, geography sometimes makes it difficult for us to serve those who are far from our offices. As a general rule, if you are more than 100 miles from our office, then we will refer you to another lawyer. Finally, Mr. McGuffey is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Tennessee, so if your situation concerns the law in another State, then we would refer you to someone else.

To help you in tracking down other lawyers who may be able to serve you when we cannot, we have prepared the following list of lawyers we refer others to: If you are looking for an Elder Law Attorney in another location, check the Member Dirctory at the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. If you are looking for a Life Care Planning Law Firm in another location, then please check the directory at the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association

This website may be considered an advertisement. If so, Tennessee requires that all attorney advertisements state whether attorneys who specialize have sought and secured certification. In that regard, "Elder Law" is a field where attorneys may be certified as specialists in Tennessee; Mr. McGuffey is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and as an Elder Law Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. The Georgia Bar Association does not currently certify attorneys as specialists.
